Our Fuzzy Fund is named after a black fluffy kitten brought in by one of our clients. Fuzzy was a stray she found in her backyard. He was about 8 weeks old, with a skin condition due to parasite infestation.
Fuzzy needed some Veterinary Care, however, the client was not able to take him in or pay for services and care. Other than the skin parasites Fuzzy seemed to be completely healthy. Dr. Boshoven asked the client to sign the cat over to us and we would treat the skin, viral test it and administer vaccines and place him in a loving home.
We asked for donations for the care and feeding of Fuzzy and the Fuzzy Fund was born.
We now take ongoing donations for the Fuzzy Fund. The funds are used for the animals that are abandoned and left in our care, or families facing financial hardship and can't afford emergency pet care, services which may or may not include surgery.
Fuzzy did find a home with one of our staff. He is happy and thriving.
